Having not visited this pub for some years I was keen to find out if the previously good food and service were still up to scratch, I needn't have worried... On what must have been the warmest April day ever, myself and some rambling friends stopped for lunch and having ordered our food, we sought shelter from the sun under a large tree in the very pleasant garden which is also home to a family of rather tame ducks. My lasagne arrived in good time, a sizeable portion with a garlic baguette and salad that actually had ripe tomatoes as opposed to the anaemic ones so often served with pub food. Dessert was a slice of Jamaican rum gateau, perhaps slightly lacking in rum but otherwise delicious. The others all enjoyed their meals and it was 'thumbs up' all round.
With good food and service, a family friendly garden and pleasant walks to nearby countryside, The Bull has something for everyone. I'll be back soon!singhurst Castle through attractive Kent
